Find your possible veterans' benefit pathways

Enter service history and family details. Only the questions relevant to your circumstances appear. Results update as you enter information and explain the law, evidence and calculations behind each reference.

Step 1 · Identity and service

Your service profile

Service dates and unit help build an evidence checklist, but do not automatically verify a person's military-veteran status. A spouse's or dependant's rights are assessed separately.

Step 2 · Family

Spouse and dependants

Age, study status and disability at the veteran's death are considered separately. An estimated ceiling is not multiplied by the number of dependants.

Step 3 · Conditional pension means assessment

Income and assets

The published pension regulations link the means assessment to the older-persons grant. These inputs only screen relevant thresholds; GPAA decides assessed amounts and exclusions.

What happens next?

Keep copies of identity documents, certified service information, unit details, discharge documentation, any marriage/death/birth records, financial evidence, full-time-study evidence and relevant medical assessments. The official decision and any award are made by DMV/GPAA.
